Hi Cathy. I posted this above, but it bears repeating here. This is my own personal experience with doubting my creativity. Back when I began writing fiction, I would start a novel, write enough of it for a partial submission with synopsis, then tell myself I had a better story in me and set the first one aside. That was in the day of hard copy manuscripts and I ended up with a pile of incompletes. My husband Jonathan finally built a shelf in the hallway of our apartment for them, high atop the wall. I could look up when I walked by and see months and months of work turning yellow over my head. Finally, a friend challenged me to submit one of those partials and kept haranguing me about it until I did. Meanwhile, I had practiced and studied the writing craft for so long I had learned how to write a publishable story so I sold that first submission. I was well into my forties when that happened and I have been writing and publishing ever since. And that includes the times I wanted to quit and the times I did quit. Then, I came back. That’s what we all must do – Keep On Writing Whatever May Occur. Love and Blessings. Alice

Thank you for your blogs. I’ve had moments when I didn’t think that I’d write again, set backs at work, family crisis, or something else, but the writing is in me.

God bless you! Cathy
